A: No, you don’t need to wipe anything yourself. In fact, it’s better if you don’t attempt data deletion as improper wiping can leave recoverable data remnants. All data destruction is certified and documented in your Asset Report.
A: Yes, absolutely! We accept IT equipment in any condition – working, broken, damaged, water-damaged, or completely obsolete. A: Absolutely. Our ISO 27001 certified data destruction processes are fully GDPR compliant. We provide certificates of data destruction and maintain complete chain of custody documentation for audit purposes. All equipment is tracked via GPS-enabled vehicles, quarantined immediately upon arrival, and processed in our secure facility. This ensures complete transparency and regulatory compliance for your data protection obligations.
A: After secure data destruction, equipment is carefully assessed. Our primary goal is reuse β which is the most environmentally friendly option. Working items in good condition are refurbished and remarketed, extending their lifecycle and supporting the circular economy. This prevents unnecessary waste and reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing new equipment.
Only equipment that is too old or too broken to reuse is broken down for component recycling, with metals, plastics, and precious materials recovered responsibly and sold as scrap. All processes are WEEE compliant and fully traceable.
Important: Nothing is ever resold with your data intact β data destruction always happens first, before any assessment or processing.
A: For smaller quantities (less than 10 units), we can still collect but may need to charge a nominal collection fee to cover transport costs. Alternatively, you can arrange to drop equipment off at our facility in Ellesmere Port free of charge. For very small quantities, our household recycling service allows you to send items via courier.
